Hello, friends. About a year and a half ago, Cammie and I told you we were going to read 25 Bantam Love Stories in a year and blog about each of them. Well, we held up half of that promise, reading 37 stories in 18 months. 25 a year is 12.5 per six months, so by now we should have read 37.5, and we are each halfway through a book, so we pretty much nailed it.
What we didn’t exactly nail is the blogging part. You’ll
notice that there are no blogs about books here. That is not a technical error.
We didn’t write them. I’d like to say that we weren’t able to write them, but the reality is that we chose not to because
we’re extremely lazy. Sadly, we have a lot of great ideas for blogs, great
books to share, and hilarious quips sure to captivate our audience. Yet when it
comes time to actually write the blog we just say, “meh” and take a nap.
We have now decided to begin our return to blogging with a
less lofty goal. (Can you call it a return if you never actually started?) Two
blogs a month would have been a LOT of WORK! We were far too ambitious. On our
Love Story journey, we have encountered the sweetest teen romances, the most
awful ones with unbearable characters, and some that were neither good nor bad,
necessarily…just extremely entertaining. Thus begins the “Good, the Bad, and
the Hilarious” blog series. We have each chosen one book from each category and
will blog about it. And if we don’t, we will be smited.
Please stay tuned for these upcoming blogs. Which we WILL!
WRITE!! These books are pure gems, believe us. And you have to believe that now
that we’ve been reading 90s young adult literature for the last year and a half
without growing up.
